The Problem

St. Mary’s approached PCD to provide an audio reinforcement system for their new Student Chapel building.

PCD’s Approach

The system consists of ceiling mounted speakers concealed above decorative fabric and out of sight, podium and wireless microphone system, BSS digital signal processor, a control system with wall and rack mounted touch panels swinging wall rack and accessories.

PCD’s Solution

Installation of Middle Atlantic racks with Power Center, 5 Step Sequencer, BSS BLU-100 analog mic line, Tascam CD-200IL CD player, iPod dock, and Tascam SS-CDR200 solid state CD recorder, Meyer Sound Laboratories Ashby 5C ceiling speakers “hidden” in order to blend into chapel surroundings, Shure MX418D/C gooseneck and Shure WL185 lavalier microphones, Listen Tech stationary RF system, and Crestron touch screen control panels.

The Result

The system provides distributed sound at the main sanctuary and sacristy spaces. The spaces are equipped with media input plates at various locations to allow portable devices to be plugged in to utilize the sound system.
