Assistant Procurement Specialist

Job Overview
 

Responsible for understanding the scope of equipment and parts needed for ongoing audio-visual projects and providing on time delivery that meets the job schedules. Negotiate best pricing and terms on equipment assuring set inventory turns, inventory dollar levels and in stock position. Serve as liaison for all ongoing projects regarding consumable supplies. Keep all interested parties informed on status of supplies.
 

1. Updating Price Sheets– Maintain price sheets in SAGE and Z Drive.

2. Maintain tracking of all vendor programs.

3. Review all entries for supplies and consumable products on the equipment list provided by engineering or salesperson for each project which includes checking existing stock before ordering new.

4. Purchase office supplies and miscellaneous items not related to the projects.

5. Meet with vendors to assure best pricing and terms in equipment purchases.

6. Responsible for warehouse on hand inventory levels to attain merchandise turn goals while in stock goals are assured.

7. Work with vendors to return all defective and overstock items.

8. Stay connected with all returning items for notifications of RMA to manufacturers when something is being returned to stock by communication with the field team leaders and project managers as well as engineers

9. Assist in office duties such as answering the phone.

Ability to build relationships with vendors, interpersonal communication skills, well-organized and able to work within tight deadlines. Must be thorough and concentrated on details.

Background in general electronics, specifically audio/video is needed. Buying experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Word and Excel . SAGE 100 experience preferred.
