The audio system must work smoothly and allow for good quality of sound so that everyone in the area can hear the proceedings. It’s also beneficial to have the proceedings televised throughout the building so that those who can’t be in the chambers can still view the proceeding. Additionally, it is now critical to digitally record the event for archival and streaming to cable TV local channel, or to a website, Facebook, or other venues. We created and deployed an audiovisual system that included microphones, cameras, video feed, digital projection, and speakers throughout the building. The Council chambers needed to be accessible through a live audio and video feed, recorded with a document camera, and also have a timer system for public speaking.
The City of Healdsburg also contacted us to help improve the sound quality of the City’s Meeting Room and Council Chambers. Over the course of several visits to adjust and then modify sound, the City asked PCD for a design-build quote to upgrade their current system to stream and record the AV. We designed, proposed and then installed a high-quality audio video system utilizing three Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cameras, a new laser projector, confidence monitors and a streaming recording device to store the meeting content in order to live stream to the local cable company via internet and post on the City’s web page. The PCD installed a Streaming Broadcast System, the City of Healdsburg has cleaner live feeds, smoother signal flow for microphones and also archival storage of all broadcasts. The Healdsburg City Council can offer excellent presentations to members of the public and is able to confidently record and broadcast to local cable feeds.
